N. Marie Koederitz, MD is board certified and fellowship trained in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus. She is committed to giving the highest quality of pediatric eye care for pediatric patients and adults with strabismus in Lawrence, Topeka, Manhattan and the surrounding areas of Kansas. Our Pediatric Ophthalmologist specializes in strabismus, or eye muscle problems that may lead to amblyopia, double vision, and misalignment of the eyes. She also manages and treats amblyopia in children caused from strabismus, ptosis (drooping eyelid), hemangioma of the eyelid, and unequal refractive errors. She examines premature infants in the NICU for a possible blinding eye disease called retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). Dr. Koederitz also treats and performs procedures for blocked tear ducts to resolve chronic tearing and matting in infants, eyelid dermoid excisions, and other pediatric medical eye conditions.
